NACE Code is a pan-European classification system which groups organisations according to their business activities. It assigns a unique 5 or 6 digit code to each industry sector, for example, DA.15.83 – Manufacture of Sugar. You may already be reporting your organisation’s activities using a NACE Code, as this classification is used by, amongst others, Ireland’s Central Statistics Office. A members’ NACE Code enables Repak to carry out statistical analysis of packaging arising relative to our members Irish turnover. This will be very helpful in ensuring that Irish industry accurately reports the total amount of packaging it places on the market.
