As part of our scheme rules we request that our Regular Members prepare a three-year implementation plan for the management of Packaging Waste arising on their premises, including any steps taken to prevent or minimise Packaging
Waste. The plan should be reviewed and updated on an annual basis and is subject to approval or amendment by Repak.
As part of the plan design members must ensure that: –
Recyclable Packaging Waste arising on their premises is segregated appropriately and made available for recycling;
Measures are implemented to ensure that Packaging supplied to the market is minimised; and
that Members comply fully with all other obligations as a producer under Part II and Part VI of the Packaging Waste Regulations;
they only use the services of licensed Recovery Operators, and comply with the legislative requirements regarding the generation, segregation, storage, transport and disposal of Packaging Waste.
