Benefits of Repak Membership

Repak is a government approved voluntary compliance scheme which operates as a not for profit company. It was established by Irish industry to allow member companies meet their legal waste management obligations through a group scheme. All monies received by Repak are used to support packaging recycling in Ireland.

By joining Repak you receive a Certificate of Compliance, which exempts you from having to accept back and recycle packaging waste from your customers and the public. In doing so, you are fulfilling your producer responsibility and contributing to the achievement of Ireland’s EU packaging waste recycling targets.

In addition, Repak offers the following services

• Licence to use the Green Dot trademark on packaging  (http://www.greendot.ie/)
• Advice on recycling best practice, including methods to prevent and minimize packaging costs 
• Training on statistical submissions/returns 
• Conferences and workshops 
• Access to Repak’s list of registered Recovery Operators.
• Regular newsletter/bulletin updates on packaging recycling, including legislative changes. 
• Analysis and evaluation of your company’s annual waste management plans. 
• Access to carbon calculators
• Statement of corporate social responsibility in relation to your contribution to an improved environment
