Repak Service Provider Recycling Awards
Repak Ltd are currently inviting nominations from both Members, Local Authorities and registered Service Providers for the Repak Awards which will take place in October to coincide with Repak Recycling Week, that is scheduled to run from the 4th to the 8th of October 2010.
Repak Ltd over that last number of years have organised and administered a national recycling awards system for all stakeholders. The main objectives of the awards are to promote competition and excellence in packaging and packaging waste management and recycling.
The awards recognise the efforts and ingenuity of its Members, Local Authorities and Recovery Operators in the area of packaging prevention, reuse and recycling.
Service Provider Recycling Award Categories
There are three awards categories for Service Providers registered with the company.

Recovery Operator of the Year - To acknowledge and award Repak registered Recovery Operators for outstanding performance as a Service Provider and for achievements in the areas of recovery and recycling of packaging waste. This award category consists of both Large Recovery Operators and Small to Medium Recovery Operators. Applications are invited from both categories. The application procedure is the same for each respective award.
Local Authority of the Year - To promote and acknowledge Local Authority packaging and packaging waste management achievements in the areas of education, awareness, enforcement and provision of recycling infrastructure.
Civic Amenity/Recycling Centre of the Year - This is award aims to promote and acknowledge the effort put into providing a recycling service to the public via Civic Amenity/Recycling Centres that are examples of excellence and champions for recycling within the local community that they serve.
All applications must be submitted electronically to rps@repak.ie before 5pm on Friday May 28th, 2010.
