Non major producers

A “Non Major Producer” company has an annual turnover less than €1 Million and/or places less than 10 tonnes of packaging onto the market in a calendar year.

If the above statement applies to your company, then under the Waste Management (Packaging) Regulations 2007, you are NOT a Major Producer and are therefore NOT required to comply with all of the obligations associated with one. However, all producers of packaging are obligated to comply with the Waste Management (Packaging) Regulations 2007 and must deal with internal packaging waste responsibly by segregating the waste and making it available for recovery/recycling.

Non Major Producers are welcome to join Repak. Under this membership category, you are not required to produce packaging statistics to Repak, as you do not have a presence in the Republic of Ireland or your reported turnover or packaging tonnage are below the threshold obligation in the Regulations (over 1 million turnover and 10 tonnes per annum). This membership type may apply to you.
